Overview
Establish and support strategic plans leveraging appropriate solutions to promote technical sales growth opportunities for the Industrial sales team. Act as the segment expert, communicating Snap-on Industrial technical product capabilities in industry activities and to senior industry leaders and customers in order to generate sales opportunities. Create & deliver technical product presentations and training material to field sales teams and other cross-functional groups or external customer teams in order to drive new business growth and sales within assigned segments.
Responsibilities
- Execute Field sales strategies and travel domestically up to 75% (some international travel required) to support technical product sales growth
- Identify and leverage new industrial opportunities to expand business portfolio and territory impact
- Create project plans to implement agreed upon strategies with the Industrial sales team
- Act as a corporate representative supporting technical sales initiatives to promote sales within the assigned segment(s)
- Build relationships with senior leaders who can help advance the technical sales platform and strategies.
- Provide on-site customer support, including product training and seminars
- Develop project plans & manage the process in collaboration with the sales team & customers to ensure successful implementation
- Ensure a smooth transition of projects to the Industrial sales team
- Act as liaison between customer and internal support resources to ensure customer needs are effectively communicated and solutions are developed where appropriate
- Create presentations & supporting technical sales materials appropriate for audience or market; effectively deliver materials or assist field sales in delivery of information to key customers and stakeholders
- Interface with Industrial sales teams and develop training to support project selling, identification of opportunities, industry networking or other key sales techniques and skills
- Advise the corporation about trends in the industry and make recommendations on new technical products and services
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of industrial sales experienceImpeccable personal presentation with excellent verbal & written communication skillsAbility to create and deliver effective presentations to all levels in an organizationTechnical aptitude and critical thinking capabilities to assist customers with specific application requirementsExecutive selling and negotiation skills with the ability to navigate within an organization to reach and influence key decision makersFamiliarity with assigned industry segments and the ability to effectively sell the features and benefits of technical products and servicesExceptional project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects while meeting established goals and timelinesStrong understanding of business operations and continuous improvement processes and conceptsProficient with Microsoft Office suite products including : Excel, Outlook and PowerPointMust hold and maintain all required credentials including a valid driver's licenseImpeccable driving record with the ability to acquire adequate auto insuranceJoin the industry leader!

This position has an average expected salary range of $85,000-$95,000 with quarterly and annual bonus opportunities. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other factors.
