About The Position

Responsibilities and Duties
Perform tests and examine patients' eyes and vision, evaluating each componentAnalyze and listen to patients' descriptions of symptoms to diagnose eye disorders, diseases, or injuriesExamine patients for symptoms indicative of organic or congenital ocular disorders and determine the nature and extent of the disorder or injuryConduct various tests to determine vision lossPrescribe and administer medications and perform procedures, as indicatedDirect remedial activities to aid in regaining vision or utilizing remaining sight, including writing prescriptions for corrective glasses and instructing patients in eye exercisesInform patients about diagnoses and treatment options to ensure understanding and informed decision-makingComplete accurate documentation of ocular and vision diagnoses and treatments according to QI Standards and standards of careAdditional Information
