Manufacturing Engineer

Summary

Core Molding Technologies is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve material mixing and compounding processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role focuses on driving process efficiency, quality, and reliability through data analysis, standard work development, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal for someone passionate about shop-floor engagement and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of mixing, compounding, and related manufacturing processes
• Monitor process stability, troubleshoot variation, and assist with root cause analysis
• Develop and maintain documentation : work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and process standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to uptime, scrap, cycle time, and throughput
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering on new materials, equipment, and process changes
• Assist with equipment reliability programs and preventive maintenance planning
• Support material trials, product launches, and process validations
• Engage suppliers and vendors to drive innovation and support equipment / process upgrades
• Train operators and technicians on process updates and best practices
• Maintain a strong daily presence on the plant floor to observe performance and provide technical support
