The Development Specialist advances this mission by managing grant and foundation relationships, crafting compelling cases for support, and cultivating a portfolio of mid-level, major, and planned giving prospects. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of grant management and fundraising experience is a MUST!

Participate in fundraising campaigns, grant administration, major gift and / or charitable development programs. Responsibilities : Assist with fundraising campaigns including budgets and timelines. Coordinate the creative process, file selection, production and mailing, and the acknowledgement process. Support strategy to train staff on marketing campaigns, soliciting donors, and defining levels of giving and benefits. Create printed materials and update databases and websites with campaign program information. Implement donor relations / recognition activities. Develop donor confidence and relationships through effective gift solicitation, processing and acknowledgement. Support the development and implementation of tracking strategies for solicitation efforts and perform analysis of data for results.
Certification specializing in Fund Raising preferred. High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree / Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Manage a portfolio of approximately 50-75 individual prospects, family foundations or grant funding organizations with a focus on mid-level, major and planned gift potential Implement cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies to meet fundraising goals set annually Conduct prospect identification and qualification to build strong pipeline of grand funders and mid, major and legacy gift donors Personally solicit gifts and partner with leadership and volunteers on solicitations of higher-capacity donors Identify and engage donors with potential interest in planned giving, helping them explore legacy options such as bequests, charitable trusts, or beneficiary designations that align with their philanthropic goals Identify external grant opportunities that align with hospital and Foundation priorities Prepare and submit grant proposals, reports, and supporting documentation in partnership with clinical and program staff Manage internal grant calendar to ensure timely submissions and reporting compliance Track and evaluate outcomes related to secured grants and ensure donor intent is fulfilled Lead the development of compelling cases for support for hospital initiatives, capital campaigns, programs, and endowed funds. Develop customized proposals that align with the interests and capacity of grant funders, mid-level and major donors and family foundations Maintain accurate and timely tracking of all donor activities using Raiser's Edge donor database Oversee budget and timelines for assigned areas, ensuring deadlines are met Work collaboratively with Foundation staff Assist with additional projects as assigned Bachelor's degree required Minimum of three years of grant management and fundraising experience
