About the Role
- We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join a growing civil / structural engineering team.
- This role involves working on a variety of electric power delivery and renewable generation projects , focusing on structural steel and foundation design .
- The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and experienced in steel buildings and masonry structures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare plans, specifications, design criteria, calculations, and reports for buildings, industrial, and utility structures.Develop foundation and structural steel designs in compliance with applicable codes and standards.Collaborate with designers and drafters to produce detailed plan sets.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.Conduct site visits and inspections to verify field conditions and assess construction quality.Serve as lead civil / structural engineer on small to medium-sized projects.Review construction submittals and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis required); Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred.5–9 years of structural design experience in buildings and / or industrial structures.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with intent to obtain PE shortly after hire.Proficient in structural steel and concrete foundation design ; experience with wood and masonry design is a plus.Strong skills in AutoCAD, Excel, Mathcad, RISA (or equivalent finite element software), and Microsoft Office.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.Must be able to walk project sites and perform visual inspections.Benefits
