Operating Room RN Job Details

Location : Winchester, Kentucky (40391)

Healthcare Setting : Community Hospital – 6 ORs, 2 Endoscopy Suites

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026)

Shift : 8 Hour Days (07 : 00 – 15 : 30)

Hours per Week : 40 (Guaranteed)

On-Call : 4 main call and 4 backup call shifts per month (includes holidays and weekends)

Patient Population : Geriatric, Adult, Adolescent, Pediatric

Electronic Health Record : MedHost

Scrubs : Facility supplied

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required

Active Kentucky RN license

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

Competency in circulator role and basic nursing assessment skills

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Serve as circulator for surgical procedures : General, Orthopedic, Urology, ENT, Cataracts, GYN, C-section, and Endoscopy

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care across all age groups

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical healthcare team

Maintain accurate documentation in MedHost EHR system

Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays

Comply with hospital policies and dress code (facility-supplied scrubs)
