Job Details
What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver evidence‑based nursing care to moderate‑to‑high acuity patients (cardiac / tele, neuro, sepsis pathways, post‑op, respiratory support incl. HFNC / BiPAP) in an Intermediate Care setting
Perform continuous cardiac monitoring / telemetry, titrate non‑vasoactive drips per protocol, and escalate via Rapid Response when indicated
Coordinate interdisciplinary care with hospitalists, RT, PT / OT, pharmacy; educate patients & families for safe transitions
Document in the EMR (Epic / Cerner or similar) with strong handoffs using SBAR and unit standards
Schedule : 12‑hour shifts (days or nights), every other / third weekend, rotating holidays; acuity‑based assignments to support safe workloads
Skills You Need
Active RN license; BLS & ACLS required (NIHSS and PCCN encouraged—paid support available)
Recent acute‑care experience preferred - (IMCU / Step‑Down / Telemetry / ICU preferred) and proficiency with cardiac monitoring
Strong critical thinking, escalation judgment, and team communication
Comfort with patient / family education and discharge readiness planning
