POSITION : Coach

REPORTS TO : Athletic Director

LOCATION :   Campus

COMPENSATION : $20.00 per hour (25-26 Academic Year)

SCHEDULE : 4-5 hours / week for 6-8 weeks

THE ROLE

When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include :

Organizing practices and games

Monitoring the academic progress of student athletes throughout the school year

Include issuing and collecting uniforms

Providing an orientation of a sound program to all student athlete participants

Communicating with coaches and athletic director on the progression of the student athletes and the team

Realizing the athlete is a student first; academics have priority over athletics.

Being on time to all scheduled athletic events.

Practicing with a plan and purpose.

Training each student-athlete to become in the best physical condition as possible.

Putting the team first, and the individual second.

Staying with the team, at all times, until the last student-athlete and their parents / guardians.

Collecting athlete documentation such as physicals and other important paperwork in a designated Athletics Binder in order to remain in compliance with State and YES Prep policies.

Additional duties as assigned.

THE MUST HAVES

0-3 years of coaching experience

Strong knowledge of specific sport including rules, terminology, etc.

Must hold a valid certification for both CPR and AED use from a nationally recognized organization, or attend a district required training to become certified within a given time frame

THE NICE TO HAVES

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution

Continued Education in specific sport

Coached specific sport

Experience working with kids

Compensation – This position is a temporary, non-exempt, hourly position. 20-21 rates are not guaranteed for future school years.
