Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an adult acute care setting with required MI state license and EPIC experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an adult acute care hospital setting with a focus on orthopedics, neurological, cardiovascular, and post-surgical care
  • Typical cases include orthopedic (TJR, fracture management, amputation, multi-trauma), neurological (CVA, brain injury, SCI), cardiovascular (post-CABG / open heart, valve repairs, pacemakers), and general med / surg debility
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday from 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm
  • No weekends, no call, and no floating required
  • Work with Level 1 trauma patient population
  • Epic is used for documentation and charting; experience required
  • Role involves providing physical therapy care to adult patients across multiple acute care disciplines
  • Allied staff may be required to complete specialty-specific pre-start modules
  • AHA certifications preferred
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel
  • Returning core staff must wait 12 months before returning
  • Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per assignment
  • Returning traveler status must be verified through HR

  • Active Michigan PTA license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • At least 1 year of recent experience as a PTA in an acute care setting
  • Epic experience required
  • Proof of high school education is required regardless of additional education
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • First-time travelers will be considered
