Clinic Practice Management Manager Urgent Care

The Clinical Manager who, under the general direction of the Director(s), has responsibility and accountability for directing all center activities. Provides clinical support to patients based on their certification / license as needed. Directs activities related to all aspects of a walk-in medical center according to the philosophy, policies, procedures, and objectives of the hospital and units of responsibility. Responsible for personnel, environmental control, assistance to physicians, equipment, and material control, supervising all activities within the center, and preparing and implementing an approved budget. Coordinates operating activities with other departments as necessary may delegate responsibilities and duties to both professional and non-professional personnel. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. This position actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Has a center volume over 15,000 annual visits.

  • Recruits, staffs, orients, trains, disciplines, and evaluates personnel in accordance with personnel policy and employee relations laws.
  • Manages fiscal operations including budget development, cost management, revenue generation, accounts payable, and daily financial practices.
  • Reviews employee time and attendance; monitors staffing, turnover, overtime, and absenteeism.
  • Rounds with team members and patients to ensure patient experience standards are upheld.
  • Maintains safe and efficient center operations.
  • Manages center activities to meet all regulatory licensure and accrediting regulations and maintaining a Quality Assurance Program.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

  • Associate's of Nursing
  • 1 year of work experience
  • Relevant experience within an AdventHealth facility
  • Active American Heart Association BLS
  • Continued maintenance of Drug Screen Certification after hire
  • Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following :
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) for Certified Medical Assistants
  • American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT) for Registered Medical Assistant
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) for National Certified Medical Assistant
  • National Health Career Association (NHA) for Registered Clinical Medical Assistant
  • State of Florida Paramedic License, or
  • Current Florida State license - Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMO), or
  • Current State license (if applicable for state) General Radiographer (RT) and / or ARRT Credential in Radiography, or
  • Current Florida license as an LPN, or
  • Current Florida license as an RN
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Bachelor's of Nursing
  • Medical office management experience
  • Drug Screen Certification
  • BAT Certification
