ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Opportunity : RN - PICU

Job Details :

Work 3x12s or 4x12s rotating shifts (day and night rotation within contract)

36 contracted hours per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment

Patient ratio of 1 : 2 across all shifts

Required to float to NICU and may serve as resource in Pediatric ED for IV starts and medication assistance

Weekend requirement : 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift, 4-5 for night shift

1.5 years of PICU experience required (recent within last 2 years)

Level I Trauma facility experience required

Required certifications : BLS, PALS, New Mexico license

Special equipment experience : CRRT, ECMO procedures, ventilators, inotropic drips

Patient diagnoses include respiratory distress / failure, renal failure, trauma, ECMO, hematology / oncology, multi-system organ failure

Black scrubs required (not provided)

Cerner charting system

36-hour orientation required

No on-call responsibilities

Overtime requires pre-approval and is rarely granted

RTO restrictions : greater than 7 days needs approval, no RTO first 7 days or last day of contract

No locals within 75-mile radius accepted

Valid driver's license required for compliance

This children's hospital is a Level I Trauma center and teaching hospital with 554 total staffed beds, specializing in comprehensive pediatric care. The facility features a 20-bed PICU with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy support. As a certified comprehensive stroke center, the hospital maintains strict compliance requirements and high standards for patient care, serving pediatric patients from neonates to adolescents with complex medical conditions.
