Position Overview
The Project Manager 3 will oversee complex high-impact initiatives and provide senior-level consultative and technical support in project management. The selected candidate will lead priority projects coordinate cross-functional activities and apply project management best practices to support agency operations and program objectives. This role requires strong analytical abilities advanced planning skills and the ability to work with extensive independence and judgment.
A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and must be clearly documented on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
Key Responsibilities
Manage plan oversee and document all aspects of assigned projects including budget timelines resources and deliverables.
Lead priority initiatives and special projects in coordination with agency business units and program leaders.
Assess analyze research plan and evaluate project management practices to ensure adherence to standards and alignment with organizational goals.
Develop project management tools dashboards and reporting frameworks for tracking progress on major initiatives.
Maintain project management data for critical projects and deliver updates and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
Identify gaps in operational and technological effectiveness and provide actionable solutions.
Facilitate meetings workshops and group problem-solving sessions to drive alignment and progress.
Assist in the development of statements of work project charters schedules resource plans risk assessments test plans budgets and related project documentation.
Maintain strong working relationships with project sponsors business stakeholders external partners and cross-functional teams.
Provide clear escalation paths and deliver concise weekly status reports both written and verbal.
Work under limited direction with broad latitude for initiative decision-making and independent judgment.
