Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an ACT-Psychiatrist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals System / South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually.

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards and to provide its staff with teaching and research opportunities and the chance to work with medical students, residents and fellows very closely.

Responsibilities

South Brooklyn Health Department of Psychiatry consists of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and PAs including a variety of a care team.

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program consists of two multidisciplinary teams provide comprehensive in-home and in-community treatment for high-risk patients diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses who have a history of limited adherence to traditional clinic-based services. Providers conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and individual, group, family, and substance use therapy services. In addition, the teams share resources related to financial and other supports that increase patients’ ability to function in the community and decrease the likelihood of rehospitalization.

Our behavioral health center provides both inpatient and outpatient treatment for behavioral health needs, including :

Psych Emergency Services

• Psych Inpatient Units - 60 bed unit
• Consultation / Liaison Service
• Outpatient Services inlcuding the Med Supervised Outpatient Program at Ida G. Israel Location
• Med-Psych Clinic

Qualifications

Wages and Benefits include :

Annual Base Salary : $236,900

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $404,590

Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

The annual base salary listed complies with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The annual base salary listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits. Actual total compensation depends on many factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, and historical collections.
