Job Description
Event Strategies, Inc. (ESI) is a full service event production company based in Alexandria, VA. ESI is in the market to hire truck drivers with a passion to produce both large and small scale events locally and nationwide. Events include conferences, trade shows, concerts, outdoor and indoor political speaking events, traveling shows, and more. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting event production equipment safely and efficiently to various venues across the nation.
Compensation
- Hourly / Day-Rate pay that is negotiable based on skill level and experience. Per diem for travel is provided.

Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving recordMust be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading equipmentEffective in communicating and coordinating with colleaguesMust be able to pass a background checkFamiliarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirementsWillingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and occasional extended tripsExperience hauling trailers, box trucks, or flatbeds preferredMaintaining visual and hearing acuity in accordance with federal regulationsMust have current DOT physical cardMust be able to pass DOT drug and alcohol screeningsObeying and following applicable traffic lawsSecuring cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle in compliance with DOT standardsMaintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulationsComfortable executing long-distance drivesPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety per DOT standardsAdhere to DOT regulations and company policies regarding driving hours and safety protocolsCoordinate with production teams to ensure timely deliveries and efficient load-in / load-out proceduresMaintain accurate records of travel logs, vehicle inspections, and fuel receiptsAssist with basic event setup and teardown as neededRepresent the company professionally when interacting with clients and venue staffExperience

Work is performed at event venues such as hotel ballrooms, conference centers, arenas, concert venues as well as outdoors in amphitheaters, fields, etc. with a large media component.You may also have the opportunity to work in the ESI warehouse for gear pulling and equipment maintenance.Team members working times may be irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
