Position Summary

The Security Installation Technician III / Site Lead is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of structured cabling, access control, and surveillance systems , while overseeing project performance and coordinating local subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and maintain security and surveillance systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and functional testing of security systems and network components.
  • Install and terminate copper and fiber data communications cabling.
  • Set up and program security, access control, audio-visual, and CCTV network systems.
  • Foster continuous learning, innovation, and quality improvement.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience installing and maintaining low-voltage structured cabling systems.
  • Active Government Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Knowledge of low-voltage electronics, wiring standards, and network infrastructure.
  • Experience installing / configuring Windows-based security applications (access control, intrusion, video surveillance).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio) and test equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current insurance.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as OSHA, Lenel, Avigilon, DMP, Pelco, etc.
  • Additional vendor or OSHA safety certifications.
  • Strong understanding of communications networks and system integration.
  • Prior experience working with federal or DoD agencies.
  • Military background is highly valued.

    • Compensation & Benefits

    Pay : $20.00 – $30.00 / hour (DOE)
