Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher working with elementary students in grades K-2. The position offers a unique schedule with a four-day workweek, Tuesday through Friday, running from August 13 to May 28. The role focuses on delivering pull-out services to support the diverse learning needs of young students in a classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in grades K-2
- Develop and implement tailored IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) designed to meet students' academic and social goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and intervention strategies
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to address diverse learning styles
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting instruction to align with evolving needs
Qualifications and Experience :
Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensureExperience working with K-2 students in an elementary education settingKnowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practicesStrong munication and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamLocation :
