$34.90 - $52.35

Monday - Friday (Part Time - 28 hours / week)

The Diabetes Nurse Educator is responsible for teaching self-management of all types of diabetes to patients, families and / or caregivers. Will utilize a variety of skills to educate, consult and assist in the management of individuals with diabetes to achieve the highest quality and best possible outcomes for the patient in a cost-effective manner. The Diabetes Nurse Educator assists with obtaining American Diabetes Association recognition for the Floyd diabetes education program. The Diabetes Nurse Educator will serve as a clinical resource for patients, community and other professionals in diabetes management.

Required :

Graduate from an accredited school of Registered Professional Nurses

Two (2) years of direct patient care

Diabetes patient instruction preferred

Current RN License in state of Georgia

Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or BC-ADM or obtain 15 hours of CEU annually
