A Snapshot of Your Day

In our Team, we are designing, implementing and verifying the hardware and software for control and protection technology (C&P) for innovative converter for HVDC applications. Our diverse and multinational teams are working closely together with project management, system and equipment engineering as well as with end customers to provide customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Actively advance the energy transition by bringing HVDC projects to a successful completion for our customers

Technically flawless, on-time and economical handling of the commissioning of HVDC systems

Integration test and functional testing of the control and protection systems (C&P) in our test facilities in the Nuremberg area

Preparation and execution of testing procedures and test programs for the converter control, including the necessary verification documentation

Support in quality, risk and claim management

Participation in improvement programs (e.g. Lean, Reviews and Lessons Learned)

What You bring

Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable training / qualification

Advantage : experience in the commissioning of industrial plants

Ideally knowledge in testing via MATLAB / SIMULINK and Siemens SIMATIC plus knowledge / experience in the field of power electronics, high-voltage systems or automation technology

Fluent English language skills. You are a team player, communicative, show initiative, deal positively with conflicts and can make decisions Class B driver's license desirable

Willingness for business trips and mainly long-term assignments on construction sites in US and abroad, as well as optional on offshore platforms. Location : approx. 50 % test center, 50 % construction site

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United Stated without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal

transfers.
