About The Position

License : State Radiologic License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, ARRT Registered

Must-Have :

Graduate of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, and medical terminology

Experience scrubbing Cath lab and interventional radiology cases

Competence in assisting during diagnostic and interventional procedures

Ability to monitor and circulate during procedures

Description :

The Cath Lab Technologist will assist the Interventional Cardiologist for both diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating.

The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use and hemodynamic monitoring.

Understanding of coronary and peripheral anatomy is essential, as well as sterile technique.

For Vascular Interventional procedures, the technologist will assist the Interventional Radiologist in minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures.

Knowledge of imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound is required.

The role also includes assisting Electrophysiologists for non-invasive and invasive procedures, necessitating knowledge of cardio structures and anatomy of the heart chambers.

In addition, applicants with a background in neuro-interventional procedures will assist the Neuro Interventional Radiologist in diagnostic and interventional tasks.

The position requires adhering to strict sterile technique and monitoring protocols.
