Position Description
The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at the Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, MO is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join our academic group, which includes 17 faculty attendings, one medical physicist, 9 physician assistants, 10 nurse coordinators and 2 medical/administrative assistants. Our department also has ACGME approved independent and integrated IR training pathways.
Established in 1987, our interventional radiology section is one of the largest and most comprehensive IR groups in the nation. More than 60,000 IR procedures are performed each year encompassing adult, pediatric, vascular and non-vascular procedures. The practice location will be substantially located at our academic campus, which includes new patient-facing IR clinics in close proximity to the procedural areas. Our facilities are state of the art and will soon be expanded by the addition of a new patient tower that will house a new central IR workplace with 4 angio suites, a hybrid CT-angio suite and 2 procedural CTs.
Basic Qualifications
Applicants should be ABR certified or ABR eligible with either an or , and fellowship training in interventional radiology. Applicants should be experienced in the broad spectrum of IR procedures and be interested in playing a key role in training an immensely talented group of more than 70 Radiology residents. We have opportunities for clinical development, teaching, research and national involvement. Members of the section are quite active in many national organizations.
