Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education
• Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Production knowledge, preferred in missiles, mechanical and electronics
• Knowledge of the product design process
• Must be highly motivated and self-starter
• Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product / performance specifications
• Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing
• Understanding Lean and Six Sigma Techniques. Have facilitated Kaizen, SIA type continuous improvement events
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Must be willing to travel 25-50% depending on work location
• Previous experience driving producibility into product designs

Job Description

You will be the Operations Engineer Staff, joining the Advanced Programs development team as a Producibility Engineer and IVT support member. Our team is responsible for driving affordability and producibility across our portfolio of development IRADs and production programs, and we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operations Engineer to join our team.

As the Operations Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for supporting the development team in driving affordability and producibility initiatives, with a focus on rate to ramp, span reduction, and development design activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, and will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of our development programs.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. National Pay Statement

Pay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees : accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
