Position Overview

We are seeking a Lighting Sales Specialist to join our team in High Point, NC. This role will focus exclusively on Schwung lighting, driving sales growth by cultivating strong client relationships and representing our brand with expertise and enthusiasm. The Lighting Sales Specialist will work closely with procurement agencies, lighting contractors, designers, and hospitality groups while managing bids, specifications, and tailored solutions for projects. This position also includes domestic and occasional international travel to represent Schwung at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand Schwung lighting sales.
  • Build relationships with procurement agencies, contractors, architects, designers, and hospitality groups.
  • Manage lighting bids and specifications, ensuring accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Present product knowledge with authority across Schwung’s collections, including materials, finishes, glass types, LED integration, and customization options.
  • Conduct product research to stay current on lighting trends, technical details, and client needs.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customization.
  • Represent Schwung at trade shows, design markets, and industry events—both locally and nationally—to expand brand presence and cultivate new relationships.
  • Travel to client sites, project locations, and trade shows as required, serving as a knowledgeable and professional ambassador for Schwung.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of clients and projects, track opportunities, and report on sales progress.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in lighting or related design industry (hospitality or contract lighting preferred).
  • Strong network with procurement agencies, lighting contractors, and hospitality groups.
  • Proven ability to manage the lighting bid process.
  • Deep knowledge of lighting products, materials, specifications, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly for trade shows, markets, and client meetings.
  • Ability to work on-site daily at our High Point, NC office.
