Job Summary

WEC Business Services, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Accounting Analyst to support our Corporate Accounting and Financial Systems team. The position will primarily support the accounting close and its associated systems.

Job Responsibilities

Subject matter expert regarding month-end close for both GAAP and FERC accounting

Serve as monthly accounting close lead for all of Finance and others that contribute to the close

Serve as a System Admin for Blackline and Smart Close software

Manage system users, access, and master data

Communicate system outages, changes, and upgrades with users

Collaborate with information technology team to troubleshoot system issues and to maximize use of information systems

Participate in testing, training, and implementation of system enhancements, new functionality, and upgrades / releases

Work with various departments within Finance and throughout the company to gather data for the month end close to validate completeness and accuracy of Financial Statements

Prepare and approve journal entries and account reconciliations

Assist with yearly regulatory reporting and rate cases

Support the cash application process

Provide data requests to internal and external audit

Opportunity to learn and build Alteryx workflows

Identify, design, and implement other process improvements

Other duties and analysis as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems or related discipline is required (December 2025 graduates will be considered)

Preferred Qualifications

2 Years' Experience in Accounting or Finance

Ability to adapt quickly to changes in assignments and to learn and grasp new concepts quickly

Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills

Comfortable providing analysis and presenting to various members of Management

Ability to work well independently and as a member of a multi-locational team

Attention to detail, a strong initiative, and a results-orientation are critical

Experience with Microsoft Excel is essential

SAP, Blackline, or Alteryx experience is a plus

Pay Range

Minimum : $58,172.14

Maximum : $115,399.18

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary / pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
