Discover a more connected career At C-2 Utility Contractors, as a Equipment Operator on our Telecom Underground team, you’ll lead crews in the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunication systems. You’ll ensure everyone is following safety protocols and project timelines. What you’ll do as a Equipment Operator Lead crews to meet project timelines Help with training of crew members Read and understand blueprints Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations Assist Supervisor with day to day activities Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues Safely use heavy equipment and machinery Perform work in all weather conditions Other duties as assigned What you’ll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company A valid driver’s license (Class A Commercial Drivers License preferred) High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred At least three years of related work experience Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse Why work with us Your career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
