Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location : Yuma, Arizona (85364) – Arizona nursing jobs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990-$2130

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : 2 West - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025, End : 3 / 9 / 2026)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement : Typically 2 out of 3 holidays

Charting System : Epic EMR experience preferred

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse – Arizona or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in Med / Surg Tele specialty

Recent experience in a Trauma Level I or II hospital setting

Proficiency with Epic EMR (electronic medical records)

BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

Ability to comply with 100-mile radius rule for travel nurses

Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during assignment

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including those with pneumonia, COPD, acute kidney injury, and post-surgical needs

Manage nurse-patient ratios of 1 : 6 during night shifts

Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care assistants (PCAs), and monitor techs for comprehensive clinical support

Utilize Bipap and stable trach respiratory therapy equipment as needed

Float to MedSurg, stable low acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU as required

Participate in one day of unit orientation and Epic EMR training

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR

Adhere to hospital policies, including low census on-call requirements
