10-Month Tenure Track Position

COMPENSATION :

Initial salary placement ranges from $67886 to $106308 based upon education and experience. The current faculty salary schedule includes five classes and twenty steps with a maximum annual salary of $142425.

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS - Comprehensive benefit package which includes :

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Masters degree in counseling rehabilitation counseling clinical psychology counseling psychology guidance counseling educational counseling social work career development marriage and family therapy or marriage family and child counseling OR the equivalent.

( NOTE : A bachelors degree in one of the above listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum of two years of full-time (or equivalent) professional academic and career counseling within a California Community College setting.

A record of achievement in closing equity gaps and demonstrably increasing student retention and transfer rates.

Must have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT :

Office classroom lab and / or on-line environment. Position requires ability to communicate and exchange information. The assignment may include day weekend and / or evening classes on campus and / or at off campus locations. Position requires ability and schedule flexibility to accommodate active participation in College and Department Outreach Events such as College and Career Fairs and College and Community Presentations.
