Principal Biostatistician

A company is looking for a Principal Biostatistician to advance the use of large language models in healthcare data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of statistical evaluation strategies for AI and clinical models

Develop and apply advanced statistical methods to evaluate model performance and bias using real-world data

Communicate statistical insights and evaluation results to various stakeholders, influencing model improvement and adoption

Required Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Data Science, or related field

7+ years of applied statistical experience with EHR and / or claims data

Strong programming skills in R and SQL; experience with Python, PySpark, or Databricks is a plus

Proven expertise in working with structured health data using medical ontologies

Experience with statistical methods to evaluate performance metrics, agreement, reliability, error, and bias
