Location: Tulsa, OK
Assignment Duration: Weeks
Shift: Days – -hour shifts (: AM–: PM)
Schedule: Sunday, Monday, and Saturday each week
On-Call: – days per month, including holidays if scheduled

Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging results. This role supports multiple departments and facilities, including emergency, inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and specialty care areas. The technologist operates radiologic equipment in accordance with established protocols and provides patient-centered care in a fast-paced, Level I trauma environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of years of recent Radiologic Technologist experience

• ARRT certification required

• BLS certification required

• Level I Trauma experience preferred

• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Preparation

• Review and retrieve radiologic orders and accurately enter related data into the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Prepare and escort patients to imaging areas, including dressing and exam rooms.

• Explain procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation.

• Position patients and assist with proper body alignment to obtain optimal diagnostic images.

• Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to procedures and address patient questions and concerns.

• Provide comfort measures and alternatives to sedation when appropriate.

• Assist in monitoring patients receiving moderate sedation in inpatient settings.

Imaging Procedures & Equipment Operation

• Perform diagnostic imaging using CR/DR systems in accordance with departmental protocols.

• Operate radiologic equipment with limited physician supervision to produce high-quality images.

• Adjust equipment settings, including exposure factors, based on patient needs and imaging protocols.

• Utilize radiation safety practices, including shielding and beam-restrictive devices, to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

• Participate in fluoroscopy, portable imaging, surgical procedures, emergency services, PACU, endoscopy, and outpatient imaging.
