Position Packaging Operator 2nd & 3rd Shifts (Lynchburg, VA) Department:

  • Packaging Job Title: Packaging Operator – 2nd and 3rd Shifts Department: Packaging Position Overview: As a Packaging Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packaged efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all quality standards.
  • You'll operate production equipment, perform quality checks, and contribute to a team-driven environment to meet or exceed production goals.
  • This role requires adherence to both domestic and international GMPs, SOPs, and OSHA safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Equipment Safely: Operate all packaging equipment in compliance with SOPs and OSHA safety standards, ensuring quality checks are performed consistently.

Perform Maintenance Tasks:

  • Execute daily maintenance routines per the autonomous maintenance policy.

Troubleshoot Production Issues:

  • Identify and address potential production issues proactively, communicating effectively with supervisors and maintenance teams.

Achieve Production Goals:

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maximize uptime.

Maintain Cleanliness:

  • Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with U.S. and international GMP standards.

Document Production Activities:

  • Accurately complete logs and reports, including downtime, material usage, production yield, batch details, and inventory control.

Train New Operators:

  • Assist in training new team members as needed.

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, including navigating non-handicap-accessible areas, and occasional ladder use.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in a production or packaging environment.
