American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with at least 2 years of PCU / telemetry experience and a valid OH or compact license for a Progressive Care Unit position with day shifts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
  • Day shifts from 7 : 00AM to 7 : 30PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Handles CPAP / BiPAP and medication titrations
  • Charge-capable travelers preferred for night shift coverage
  • Floating may be required to units of equal or lower acuity
  • Uses Epic EMR for documentation and care management
  • May be required to work every other weekend
  • Provide high-quality nursing care including medication administration, patient education, and performing labs
  • Expected to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to unit needs
  • Mandatory fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
  • No time off (RTO) allowed from 2 / 15 / 26 to 2 / 28 / 26
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • First-time travelers considered if all other requirements are met

  • Active RN license (OH or compact) in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and IV certification
  • Proficiency in IV starts and general nursing skills
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or charge RN
  • Must not be a current employee of any Ohio State University hospital
  • Former employees must have at least a 6-month break before being eligible
