POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of all brands enterprise-wide for the day-to-day accounts receivable functions, including all cash application, invoicing accuracy, customer portal management, collections, customer account management and maintenance, and deductions. This role will manage the development and implementation of consistent AR policies enterprise-wide and maintain these policies, procedures, and processes on a go forward basis, including adherence to the policies.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Manage the accounts receivable department, which includes collections, cash applications, and deductions.
  • Lead department development, training, and coaching.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day resolution of all accounts receivable issues.
  • Manage all accounts, ensuring invoicing and cash application accuracy, along with posting and applying returns credits and refunds.
  • Responsible for deduction management; manage the validity of customer deductions and oversee the aging of the deductions to ensure that credits are handled timely.
  • Manage the development and implementation of consistent AR policies enterprise wide. Maintain these policies, procedures, and processes on a go forward basis to ensure adherence to the policies.
  • Develop and implement KPI’s and SMART goals for the team.
  • Manage large customer collections to ensure the OE, Amazon, retail, and aftermarket past dues are handled timely. Train and mentor the team to determine the root causes and solve these issues on an go forward basis.
  • Responsible for allowance and bad debt calculations.
  • Create a company-wide culture in AR of proactivity across the Brands.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement processes once established.
  • Expertise in managing allowance for doubtful accounts and performing accurate bad debt calculations.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • 5 -10 years of AR experience.
  • Minimum 5 years AR management experience managing a medium to large team.
  • Experience working with NetSuite, preferred.
  • Experience with allowance and bad debt calculations.
  • Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel.
  • Ability to understand multiple current ERP systems and any new system implementation (testing, cutover tests, training).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required (roughly 10%).

  • SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position schedules, oversees, and reviews the work of direct reports.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is subject to sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

  • Visual Acuity

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and / or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and / or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Working Conditions

  • This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
