HIRING FOR MULTIPLE POSITIONS

SHIFTS :  1st shift 7am-3pm, 2nd shift3pm-11pm and 3rd shift is 11pm-7am

Job Summary :

Security Officers areresponsible for maintaining the security of people, buildings, and theircontents, and preventing break-ins and theft through guarding and surveillance.Security officers work in a range of environments and are expected to deal witha wide range of situations as they occur; ensuring that businesses, properties,and valuables are protected from harm. The role of a security officer willdepend on the nature of the premises being secured.

Please be prepared to showlicenses / certifications if selected for an interview. CLEET Certification Phase1 (Basic), Phase 2 (Officer) and Current Driver License

Security Officer Job Responsibilities, but are not limited to the following :

• Patrolling one or a number of premises
• Monitoring activity outside and inside a premises through observation and closed circuit       television
• Signing in visitors to a building
• Checking suspicious packages
• Performing checks on building traffic (the people going in and out of a building)
• Recording any suspicious activity and taking any necessary action
• Guarding valuables or cash (typically in a secure vehicle)
• Communicating relevant information to other security officers via communication devices
• Giving directions and other information to visitors
• Writing reports for the police or courts
• Conducting general reception duties
• Creating and distributing building access cards

Environmental Hazards :

There is exposure to physical danger, such as :

1. Dangerous criminal elements

2. Arrest situations

3. Mentally deranged persons

4. Traffic accidents

5. Unruly crowds

6. Exposure to disease or hazardous materials during emergency responses

7. Various weather and hazardous conditions, which may be unpleasant.

Physical Requirements :

This position requires the ability to lift and carry 75 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations. This position also may require walking and running up or down multiple flights of stairs, chasing a fleeing suspect a moderate distance (up to ½ mile), detaining a suspect and maintaining custody,  lifting or pulling an injured person to safety, operating a security vehicle in routine and emergency situations, and standing and / or walking continuously for a regular eight-hour
