The Department of Mathematics consists of twenty faculty and offers bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees. Active areas of research include algebraic logic, combinatorics, ergodic theory, functional analysis, group theory, graph theory, nonassociative algebra, noncommutative geometry, number theory, operator theory, probability, representation theory, statistical physics, and topological dynamics.
Position Summary
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Denver invites applications for three Visiting Assistant Professor positions in Mathematics to begin on September 1, 2025. These are non-tenure-track positions. Candidates demonstrating a strong research and teaching record aligned with the departments needs may be eligible for renewal for up to three years.

Work Schedule
While the University's administrative offices are open Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University's academic calendars are posted on the registrar's website (the law school is on a semester system and has a different academic calendar).

Salary Grade Number
The salary grade for the position is UC.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $51,000-$54,000.

The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
