Job description

Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager. This position will have Program Credit oversight of third-party programs including large OEM (Manufacturer) and dealers for the Vendor and Equipment Finance businesses within Commercial Banking. This position will have responsibility for underwriting third-party programs and will have delegated program approval authority. Additionally, this function has responsibility for monitoring program performance, making and negotiating program modifications, negotiating program structures, and interfacing with senior management, WFEF Sales Management, and Third-Party sources, WF RAR, WF Internal Audit, and the Program Audit Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans
  • Identify opportunity for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area
  • Review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in credit underwriting, financial analysis, or portfolio management
  • Ability to make and deliver presentations to executive and external clients
  • Familiarity with program documentation, end user Master Lease & Loan Agreements, documentation negotiation skills, chattel paper perfection, and recourse structures
  • Familiarity with risk aspects and management and oversight of third-party servicing
  • Third party-program oversight and experience with equipment finance
  • Business Development experience particularly with third-party new relationship development (negotiating/structuring new vendor program structures)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range:

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
