Job description
Accounts Payable Analyst
Pay: $55,000 - $65,000
Schedule: M–F, Full Time
Remote: Option available, located in Lansing
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a technically strong Accounts Payable Analyst to support system administration, analytics, and month-end accounting activities within the AP function. This role is ideal for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with financial systems and data.
Responsibilities:
Systems & Platform Administration
-
Serve as system administrator for the AP invoicing processing system
Act as system administrator -
Support user access, system configuration, and process improvements
Reporting & Analytics
-
Build and track departmental KPIs and performance metrics
-
Analyze AP data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
-
Provide reporting support using Excel (Power BI experience a strong plus)
Accounting & Month-End Close
-
Perform month-end close activities including:
-
Account reconciliations
-
Accrual calculations
-
Journal entries
-
GL and statement reviews
-
-
Support AP-related accounting analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
-
Accounts payable experience required
-
Experience with accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and GL processes

Strong Excel skills required
-
Power BI experience highly preferred
-
Tech-savvy with strong aptitude for accounting systems
-
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
