Job role : Business Analyst Duration : 6 months with possible extension Location : Hybrid 3 days a week on-site Woodland Hills, CA Must have some understanding in accounting. The Business Analyst II will be focused on delivering optimized experiences as part of the Reservations Technology team. You will partner with diverse teams such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Air, Yield, and Digital. This role will be responsible for reviewing business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, technological risks and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting Product Managers on larger more complex projects. You will interview stakeholders, write user stories, and guide the Development and QA teams. The ideal candidate must be highly skilled in data analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation. Responsibilities : Gather and analyze data to identify business and technical requirements, document them clearly, and create acceptance criteria. Work closely with project managers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that requirements are understood and delivered. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy technical solutions. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including functional requirements, use cases, and process flows. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and provide project updates. Support the delivery of training sessions and assist with user adoption of new systems. Identify and document risks and issues related to technical solutions and work with the project team to mitigate them. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field. At least 3 years of experience in a technical business analyst role, with a proven track record of delivering technical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consume data at a rapid pace and make data-driven decisions. Exceptional active listening skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues, clients, and customers to fully understand their needs and provide accurate and effective solutions Demonstrated ability to write detailed technical documentation and acceptance criteria. Experience working in an Agile development environment. Experience with requirements management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or GIT. Proficient in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries and analyzing large data sets. Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fast thinker with a "can-do" attitude, and a willingness to take on new challenges. Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Hospitality experience is a plus.
