Job Summary :
The GAM M&R EI&C / Mechanical Designer is responsible for developing Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) drawings for infrastructure improvement projects. These projects involve the installation or modification of electrical systems, communication systems, and process measurement devices at natural gas regulation and associated pipeline facilities. The role may also require 3D design, depending on the discipline, and may involve serving as the sole designer for both mechanical and electrical disciplines on a given project.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings to support infrastructure projects.
- Create and modify designs for electrical, instrumentation, control, and mechanical systems.
- Provide supporting detail and documentation for engineering activities and projects.
- Assist in material procurement and the development of design standards.
- Ensure all designs are safe, ergonomic, and practical for operational and construction teams.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure project success.
- Utilize MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar drafting software to create technical drawings.
