Clinic Registered Nurse
Job Description
The RN will assist the provider throughout the clinic with various duties including preparing patients for scheduled procedures, assisting in patient assessment, and performing basic triage procedures. The RN will ensure accurate recording of patient history and medical records, assist providers with examinations and procedures, and maintain compliance with policies and regulations. Additionally, the RN will manage patient appointments, communicate with hospitals and nursing homes, and provide patient education.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist in patient assessment.
- Accurately record patient history and perform basic triage procedures.
- Retrieve initial basic condition of patients, create nursing history, and report to the appropriate practitioner.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of recording on patient medical records.
- Maintain all required reports, records, and statistics.
- Ensure an adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment.
- Inspect the area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, and take corrective action when violations occur.
- Schedule all outside patient appointments per physician order and relay information accurately to patients.
- Take calls from hospitals and nursing homes, and relay appropriate information to practitioners in a timely manner.
- Assure test results are received and relayed to patients in a timely manner.
- Complete medical orientation checklist.
- Initiate appropriate patient education.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00
