Environmental Specialist (Lab Pack Specialist)
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Specialist for our Lab & Onsite Support Services (Lab / OSS) team. As an Environmental Specialist, you will support our clients on-site by managing their hazardous waste programs & projects, utilizing state & federal regulations.
Triumvirate provides leading institutions in the higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and industrial sectors with diverse services and advice to assist them with hazardous-waste management & regulatory compliance.

This position reports to the Assistant Lab Services Manager. This role is based on site at client locations in the Boston area . You will report out of our Somerville, MA office.

Responsibilities :
- Conduct onsite evaluations to assess and categorize hazardous waste materials.
- Safely pack and segregate different types of hazardous chemicals and waste for transportation and disposal.
- Prepare and label containers according to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Document and maintain accurate records of waste disposal activities, including manifests and shipping documents.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies regarding waste management processes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous waste handling and transportation.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of waste materials and supplies needed for waste handling activities.
- Oversee the physical relocation of hazardous materials, including packing, loading, transportation, and unloading (Lab Moves)
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations involving hazardous materials.
- Safe operation of Triumvirate commercial vehicle (Class C) while transporting hazardous materials.
