The basics of this position :
Join the award-winning Graphic Communications program at St. Louis Community College at Meramec as we move into a new building and state-of-the-art facility in Fall 2025. This Instructor II / Assistant Professor / Faculty position offers the chance to inspire the next generation of graphic design professionals through innovative teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and engagement with cutting-edge technology.
Moving into a new state-of-the-art building in the Fall 2025 semester, the NASAD accredited Graphic Communications program, part of the Communication, Design, Creative Arts Division at St. Louis Community College at Meramec, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Instructor II / Assistant Professor with expertise in graphic design, commercial illustration, interactive design, and advanced design technology to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students pursuing careers in graphic design, digital media, and related fields. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching, a commitment to fostering student success, and a dedication to excellence in both traditional and emerging forms of graphic communications.

What you'll do :
Education, experience, and other requirements :
A minimum of a BFA in graphic design, visual communication, digital media, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum two years experience as an instructor.

Minimum four years experience working in a related art field such as branding, UX / UI design, or motion graphics
Preferred Qualifications :
A terminal degree (MFA or equivalent) in graphic design, visual communication, digital media, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Two years of full-time teaching or equivalent.
