Description
The Development Coordinator of Communications and Events will support both the Communications and Events Teams as they carry out their fundraising responsibilities, reporting to the Director of Leadership and Annual Giving and the Director of Leadership Programs, Events & Special Projects, respectively. For the Communications Team, the Coordinator will help plan and execute annual giving efforts and donor communication projects, as well as provide general administrative support. For the Events Team, the Coordinator will provide administrative support for all fundraising and stewardship events and donor engagement initiatives, which include, but are not limited to, the Race for Rehab program, an annual golf tournament,third-party events, The President’s Council, and the Francis “Hooks” Burr Society. Key Responsibilities :
Communications and Leadership / Annual Giving Support
- Reporting to the Director of Leadership and Annual Giving, the DC supports the Communication and Leadership / Annual Giving program through project management, vendor relations, and donor stewardship.
- Assists with donor relations and stewardship by making outbound stewardship calls to donors.
- Assists the Director with direct mail appeals and e-solicitation project management, vendor communication, writing, production, and invoicing.
- Coordinates solicitation efforts for the Strength Fund members, our employee giving program. Works closely with the Director to explore ideas for recruiting and stewarding members.
- Assists with identifying and producing donor and patient stories through print and video.
- Project manages donor recognition opportunities, including plaques and donor wall.
- Other duties in support of the broader Communications Team as assigned.

Qualifications
Education / Degree
Required : Associate’s Degree
Preferred : Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
Required : 2+ years of experience with providing quality customer service and administrative support to management with proven professionalism and efficiency.
Preferred : Minimum of 1 year of donor database experience, preferably Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge, or similar platform.
Preferred : Experience in a development office working with a variety of fundraising initiatives.
