HiFyve is hiring a CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer in the Manufacturing industry in Kansas City, MO!

Salary : $30 - $38 / hr

Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday

Location : Kansas City, MO

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Develop programs for new parts on multi-axis Swiss lathes
Create setup plans for Swiss turning centers
Interpret technical drawings and ensure machines are set correctly
Adjust cutting paths and optimize machining processes
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
Maintain tooling, perform basic machine maintenance, and support process improvements
Train operators on machine operation and program requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and quality standards

Education Requirements :

High school diploma or GED required.

Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

High school diploma or GED required; vocational school or apprenticeship preferred

5+ years of experience programming Swiss lathes

Experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated machining equipment

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to read blueprints and follow routers

Knowledge of metals and machining characteristics

Strong math, accuracy, and attention to detail

Self-motivated with reliable attendance

Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required
