Data as a Product Consulting Project Lead Oakland, CA or Remote; Customer is in PST (Mountain or West timezone preferred) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to oversee the Data as a Product consulting project for Blue Shield of California. This role involves leading a cross-functional team to define and implement data governance, architecture, and processes for three pilot use cases : MHR, COHC, and Ad-Hoc. Key Responsibilities : Project Leadership : Provide direction, orchestration, and oversight for the Data as a Product project, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with Blue Shield of California stakeholders, including SMEs, designers, developers, BAs, and testers, to facilitate the build and acceptance of data products. Gap Analysis : Review current state architecture, governance, and platform for the pilot use cases, conduct gap analysis, and share findings with stakeholders. Recommendations : Make recommendations on mitigating gaps and opportunities related to governance, architecture, platform, and processes. Oversight : Oversee the build of data product pilots, compile retrospectives, and ensure continuous improvement based on observations and lessons learned. Team Management : Lead a team of data architects, process analysts, and other relevant roles, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Qualifications : Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data architecture, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading successful data projects. Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to conduct gap analysis and make strategic recommendations. Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Certifications : Relevant certifications in data governance, data architecture, or project management are a plus.
