The Crane Shop Service Technician is responsible for performing safe, professional, high-quality, and timely inspections, diagnosis, repair, loading / unloading, make-ready, and maneuvering of cranes and related equipment primarily in a shop environment. Work will be performed alone or in teams to provide high-quality mechanical services that meet customers' needs and achieve organizational and departmental objectives.
Essential Functions :
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Responds to customers' needs in a professional and urgent manner, satisfying their requirements and meeting organizational and departmental objectives.
- Inspects and diagnoses cranes and related equipment technical problems in a professional, accurate, efficient, and timely manner to satisfy customers'
- Prepares cranes and related equipment for service work utilizing proper safety procedures (locks, blocking, lock-out procedures, etc.) to avoid injury.
- Removes and replaces crane and related equipment components utilizing required technical data and procedures to repair equipment to organization and industry standards.
- Maintains technical proficiency through self-study and / or successful completion of required training courses to increase job related competencies.
- Maintain and control company property and resources in a manner to ensure safety, cleanliness, reliability, and minimal expense.
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
