About Us :

NEO International Partners is collaborating with a leading Turn-key Construction Management firm specializing in data center construction. Renowned for its innovative approach, commitment to sustainability, and a collaborative work environment, this firm leads the mission-critical construction landscape. They are seeking a Data Center Architect to spearhead the design and optimization of their high-performance data center environments.

Job Overview :

The Data Center Architect will lead the design, planning, and modernization of data center infrastructures, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. This role demands expertise in creating both on-premises and hybrid-cloud environments, with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and technological advancement.

Location :

This role is on-site, with occasional travel required to support on-site data center projects across North America.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed architectural documentation for new data centers and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality data center solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations for new data centers.
  • Ensure data center designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements for security, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
  • Optimize data center performance, including energy efficiency, space utilization, and resource management.
  • Lead capacity planning efforts to anticipate future needs and scale data center resources accordingly.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operations teams during the deployment and maintenance of data center infrastructure.
  • Comfortable and confident in front of clients. This is a very client facing role.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data center architecture.
  • Participate in the development of data center policies, procedures, and standards.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Computer Science, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in data center design and architecture.
  • Proficiency in data center technologies, including power and cooling systems, networking, storage, and virtualization.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices, such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and ASHRAE.
  • Experience with data center management tools and software.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CDCDP, CDCS, or DCCA are a plus.
  • Must be a licensed Architect, NCARB license required
