About This Role :

The Prince William Area Agency on Aging is seeking compassionate skilled Health Aid to be a part of the team at our Adult Day Health Care Center. This position provides a unique opportunity to combine technical and person-centered skills needed, to assist older adults and adults with disabilities experiencing cognitive impairments, with Activities of Daily Living, and recreational activities, while providing participant-focused care, in an active, and engaging environment. The agency will provide training in CPR / AED / First Aid and all state-mandated training. The County offers a comprehensive benefits package as well as participating in the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).

Minimum Requirements :

High school diploma or G.E.D

Preferences :

• The ideal candidate will have a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate, a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in working with older adults ,and adults with disabilities with cognitive impairment,
• 1-2 years' experience working in a healthcare setting, nursing home and or assistant living facility,
• 1-2 years' experience with data entry.
• A bilingual speaker is a plus but not required.

Special Requirements :

Work Schedule :

Monday through Friday, 10 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m. with flexibility to adjust hours to ensure adequate staff coverage between the hours of 7 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m.

Starting Salary Range : $21.14 - $32.17 Hourly
