Job Description
As a Dental Hygienist, you will :
- Screen and assess patients, evaluate the medical / dental history.
- Maintain and review patient’s records, charts, and other pertinent information.
- Provide preventative oral health services as directed by dentist on staff.
- Provide patient education, teaches patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health and prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
- Counsel patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health.
- Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between clinic visits as required.
- Assists in the sterilization and sharpening of instruments as assigned following infection control guidelines.
