JOB SUMMARY The Regional Director of Sales (RDOS) is a strategic leader responsible for driving topline revenue growth across a portfolio of assigned hotels. This position oversees and collaborates with on-property and corporate leadership to ensure optimal market positioning, sales strategy execution, and revenue performance. The RDOS works closely with the Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to develop and implement innovative strategies that maximize market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSWorks closely with General Managers and Sales Leaders to optimize Sales staffing and deployment at each hotel.Develops and implements strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals for all properties in the assigned portfolio.Works closely with Sales leaders to create and track booking goals, booking pace, and ensure effective sales strategies are in place.Reviews Delphi bookings, pace, and sales activities for each assigned seller weekly / monthly to ensure targets and goals are being achieved. Works directly with General Managers and Sales leaders to address performance gaps.Analyzes market trends, competitive intelligence, and hotel performance data to adjust sales strategies and ensure market competitiveness.Conducts regular property visits to review sales performance, provide coaching, and support strategic objectives.Conducts weekly / bi-weekly one on ones with Sales leaders to further training and development while also increasing accountability towards goals and processes.Works closely with Sales leaders to establish and execute quarterly sales action plans for assigned hotels.Provides leadership, guidance, and support to property-level Sales teams to ensure alignment with company goals and initiatives.Monitors and tracks group crossover goal progress monthly for assigned hotels. Strategizes with Sales leaders to improve pace and ensure goals are achieved.Conducts regular portfolio reviews with property teams and corporate leadership to report on progress and address sales challenges.Reviews and analyzes all group, contract, and corporate transient revenue forecasts for assigned hotels each forecast cycle. Works closely with Sales leadership to improve forecasting processes and accuracy.Evaluates all Sales & Marketing expenses for assigned hotels to ensure optimal budgeting and forecasting is taking place. Consistently reviews usage of all sales subscriptions to ensure they are still needed for assigned properties.Identifies opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and leveraging synergies between properties.Recruits, mentors, and develops high-performing Sales professionals to drive results and foster a positive sales culture.Leads and / or participates in Sales huddles and Commercial Strategy field calls.Responsible for overseeing a sound Request for Proposal (RFP) process for each hotel. This includes strategy and due date adherence.Collaborates with VP of Sales & Marketing to develop and implement companywide strategic Sales initiatives to drive topline revenue and capture market share.Conducts regular team meetings with Sales leaders of assigned hotels to address training gaps and foster collaboration within the team.Collaborates with VP of Sales & Marketing to create and track Sales recognition and bonus programs. This ensures programs stay relevant and valuable to the teams and company.Collaborates with General Managers, Sales leaders, and Revenue Management to establish annual budgets and business plans.Ensures efficient use of Sales and Marketing systems, tools and resources, delivering a strong return on investment (ROI) on all initiatives.Works closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing to execute and participate in quarterly companywide sales blitz.Assists VP of Sales & Marketing with assigned business development and due diligence projects as requested.Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the portfolio.Attends owner presentations as requested. Works closely with assigned hotel teams to ensure preparation and presentation is effective and optimal. Reviews sales material in advance for all owner presentations for accuracy, organization, and detail.Collaborates with VP of Sales & Marketing to create and implement Sales Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids for the company and portfolio of hotels.Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with Company standards; wears the appropriate uniform or attire.Maintains open and effective communication with team members and management.Attends and participates in team meetings.Adheres to established safety and emergency procedures and protocols, this includes Company, federal, and state specific regulations and guidelines.Completes all required Company training / compliance courses as assigned.Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.EDUCATIONBachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in related field.EXPERIENCEA minimum five (5) years of supervisory sales experience within the hospitality industry required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees and coordinates the department's activities, with a focus on supervisory and organizational goals. While a portion of the time may involve performing tasks similar to those of direct reports, the primary responsibilities are related to management and coordination. Analyzes and resolves issues, establishes work methods, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains productivity. Uses judgment within established procedures and policies to make appropriate decisions and take necessary actions.
