Position Overview
The Freight Dispatch Assistant supports transportation operations by helping manage communication, shipment updates, and coordination tasks. This role is suitable for individuals entering the field as well as those with prior exposure to dispatch or logistics workflows.
Responsibilities
Assist with managing shipment updates and load tracking
Support communication between drivers and logistics contacts
Maintain organized dispatch records
Monitor delivery progress and update timelines
Assist with documenting changes in shipment activity
Help ensure consistency in operational communication
Track and organize load-related information
Support coordination of daily dispatch tasks
Qualifications
Strong communication and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to manage routine updates accurately
Attention to detail
Dependable and consistent work habits
Ability to follow instructions and processes
Time management ability
