ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Palm Bay, Florida
Hours : 1st Shift
BRP is seeking an Engineering Technician who will report to a Project Manager and work under the supervision of an Engineer. As a member of the BRP development team, you will have the opportunity to work in the creative field of recreational vehicle development. In addition to being part of a dynamic and motivated team, you will have the opportunity to innovate and influence technical directions in the field of motorsports.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR MAIN DUTIES WILL BE :
Support the development of new products by fabricating, debugging and testing prototype power-packs and boats.
Provide technical support to OEM on powerpack installation and fabrication of prototype boats
Perform production quality audit at OEM facility
Support vehicle preparation and follow engineering test, reliability and performance evaluation.
Assess vehicle performance and dynamic.
Support implementation of new products into production.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
Required :
2+ years of Boat Building, Marine or Powersports Technician / Maintenance Experience
Physically able to operate recreational and marine products
Experience in computer skills, including MS Office or Google Suite with the ability to interface with data acquisition software and hardware
Ability to travel up to 5% out of the year
Preferred :
5 + years of Boat Building Experience
Associates degree or certification in Marine Maintenance
Demonstrate a basic ability to either MIG or TIG weld
Mechanical and Electrical Diagnostics experience
Experience with fiberglass repair
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and strong communication skills
